Today's date is May 7, 2009. In 43 days, Ty will graduate from the advanced portion of his school. It is the day we have been waiting for for over a year now. It is the day that means we will not only have financial security when/if we decide to leave the Navy, but it also means that we get to leave Texas. Or so we thought.
A few weeks ago, the Navy released a statement saying that they were over-manned and under-funded. What does that mean for us? In short the only way they can think to cut the cost's for the rest of this fiscal year, is to postpone any personnel moves. In other words, unless we are told differently, we will be here in Texas until October. We still have no idea where we will be moving, when we will be getting orders, or even at what point we will be moving once the Navy gets re-funded. It's bittersweet for us. We have made some amazing friends here, and it will be nice to spend some more time with them. At the same time, we were really looking forward to getting back to Navy life (as opposed to stinky Air Force life!) and to (hopefully) being closer to our family. Please keep us in your prayers.
In other news, my doctors and I are still searching for the cause of my mysterious illness. At this point they have ruled out any tumors or cancer (thank goodness!). I go to see the Rhuematologist on May 19th, and she should be able to start making sense of it all. I may go see a nutritionist as well, and try a gluten free diet. A few of the things that my gastroenterologist found when he did my upper GI scope were indicative of Celiac's disease, however, the pathology revealed no conclusive results. It is fairly common to have both blood and biopsy testing come back negative if the disease has been active for a while. Pending what the Rhuematologist says, I will try this avenue.
Also, I start court reporting school on June 8th!! RPR here I come!!
The kids are doing great! They are loving that it is warm during the day so we can play outside! Faith (and Ginny!) loves to play with bubbles, Noah is partial to throwing anything and everything he can get his little hands on! I, however, like to play with the chalk ;-) Faith and I have also taken to a bit of gardening, if you can call it that. We have planted a few pots of flowers, and one of herbs to cook with! Faith loves to go outside and water and talk to them.
Well, that is about all I can think about right now!

Noah Walks
It's true! Noah has finally decided to walk! He has yet to be walking all the time, everytime, but I will take what I can get! So far his record is 12 steps! Its so cute to see him toddle across the floor, I just want to squish him! =)
Graduation!
Ty FINALLY graduated! (From the basic portion of school at least!) It has been a long and hard 11 months here in Texas, but knowing that we are mere weeks away from being done here has made it all worth it!
Graduation day was bittersweet for both of us. It was the signal of us approaching the end of our time here, and at the same time, we had to say goodbye to many friends that we made, as they are off to new duty stations.
Ty will have just a few more weeks of "Navy specific" training in an Advanced class, and then we will be moving again! Rumor has it we may have our orders in the next 4-6 weeks! Keep your fingers crossed!

2-17-2009
With as much as we have going on in our lives, and as large as our family is, we are constantly feeling like someone is being left "out of the loop". To remedy this, we decided that we would start a family blog where everyone can stay updated.
We are still enjoying Wichita Falls very much. The town has grown on us, and we have made some amazing friends while we have been here. Ty is almost done with the "Basic" portion of his schooling. He will graduate (tentatively) on March 6, 2009. He will then have a few more weeks of Navy "Advanced" training, and then we will be off to our next duty station.
As of yet, we do not know where we will be moving this summer. We have put in our "dream list" but we wont find out for a while where we are going. We are confidant that wherever we go is where we are supposed to be. We have been praying over the decisions ahead for us, and we know that God will give us the guidance that we need to make the right decisions for our family.
In other news, we recently purchased a new car! We are very excited about it, as it is not only a car we love, but it is our first big purchase as a family!
Faith and Noah are doing great! Faith is growing in leaps and bounds, and her intellect continues to amaze me on a daily basis. Noah is learning to walk, and I know that one of these days he is going to just walk across the living room. We do crafts together everyday, and Faith loves to glue anything =).
All in all we are doing great, and just taking things a little at a time until we move! We miss you all and we can't wait to see everyone again!
